Austrias largest Gigapixel - Kitzbüheler Horn - 88,12 Gigapixel

by Hellkeeper » Thu Apr 18, 2013 3:43 pm

Hey there,

we just (again) topped Austria's Gigapixel record! ;-)
This time it's a 88,12 Gigapixel view from the "Kitzbüheler Horn" in Tyrol - Austria.
We shot this Picture from 2 different points - as in the middle of the Kitzbüheler Horn is a big radio mast which prevented us from taking the Picture in one shot ...
You can view the amazing Mountains surrounding our Cities as well as some nice tyrolean villages. (Kitzbühel, St. Johann in Tirol, Kirchberg and many others)

Hope you enjoy the Picture! ;-)

One note : the horizon is curved. It seems that you were ignoring the vertical offset in krpano settings. If you add this value, then the horizon is not considered in the middle of the panorama but at the vertical location you say. It will prevent the curved horizon ( I want to see the skyline straight and not how it looks like right now ).

The rest is perfect. Especially with snow, the final image is super well smoothed in density, color and exposure. That's really hard to achieve. Congrats.

Andreas,

I added your pano to the gigapixel records page:
http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Gigapixel_Records

BUT - if I visit your Website the creation time listed is 27.Aug.2012... this cant be true :D ... Snow is not only on top of mountains, snow is also in the valleys ...

Liebe GrüàŸe,
Georg

@AlexandreJ: Thank you for your feedback - I'm glad you like the pic! ;-) - about the curved horizon - should be gone now! :)
@gkaefer: Thx for adding the Pic to the Wiki - I corrected the shooting date to the right date! 27.Aug.2012 was the date when we added the pic to our Website ... we should correct the dates to *shooting date* ... will do this when I got the time for! :-)
