Depuis que je me suis rendu compte que le "Multiple viewpoint" d'Autopano était l'arme absolue pour avoir de beaux nadirs, je suis pris d'une crise frénétique de création de mini-planètes. C'est de votre faute !

The wooden pathway looks like a fish on a round platter. Very interesting.

It's a stéréographic projection of a spherical panorama.
The equirectangular panorama générated with Autopano Giga is transfomed with a Photoshop plugin named "Flexify 2"

Or, instead of paying, use mathmap
http://www.complang.tuwien.ac.at/schani/mathmap/

or google for techniques on doing it manually, although then you get less control over it.
