Eiffel Tower with 2.0.9 and 2.5b1

by parisbyphoto » Mon Oct 11, 2010 10:31 am

I had to do this in 2.0.9 first, then load it into 2.5b1 to render it without error. 2.5b1 would not stitch this without major errors that would take days to fix. 2.0.9 had just a couple of minor errors, that were fixed but the final render came out with a few errors. Once loaded into 2.5b1 it seemed to work a treat, with none or just very minor stitching errors......no idea why but happy it did!

I really like that Eiffel Tower gigapixels. Great and really sharp. Nice done.
But the drone at the 3rd stock is a bit scary ...

Drone are so popular actually. It really scares my, because imagine what could some nuts guys do with such a small device. Use 50 of them, program them to hit one single location but launch them at the same time from 50 different startup positions ... brrrrrr. So scary.
Seeing that on the Eiffel Tower doesn't bring back only good memories.

lol, sorry guys, I should tell you that I added the AR Drone to the picture for a little fun! No need to worry about any invasion just yet, there is no way the range is good enough to reach that high, though I guess it is possible to fly it from the top (if you can get it out of the cage).

The photo of the AR.Drone was taken from another pic I took with the eiffel tower in the background though, however its was about 4 metres off the ground at the time and about a kilometre away:)

Definitely more interesting than a bird:)

pano gigapixel de super top qualité et vraiment intéressant...
ca change un peu des vues moches de certaines villes qu'on voit un peu trop souvent dans les panos gigapixel...
Look. There's a rhythmic ceremonial ritual coming up !

Thanks all for the kind words. It is a lot of fun taking the gigapixel images.
