my original question in the bugs/discussion forum led me to a feature request:

question: is there a way to just move/zoom to a certain ath/atv/fov on a hotspot click without loading a new pano?
i'm using this frequently for pointing users to POIs on the floor or ceiling and/or to zoom in to important details in panos with higher resolutions.

up to now (if i haven't overseen something) i found only a workaround for this:
1. link to the current pano itself
2. set up a custom view with exactly the same ath/atv as the hotspot
3. set the transition to zoom in on the spot and load custom view

this is kind of fiddly and additionally it invokes an unneccesary re-loading of the current pano and if it's not exactly set up then a hickup/jump is left when re-loading the pano.

feature request: so it would be nice to have simple zoom-to-spot action available in the actions selection of a hotspot, where the loading of a new pano simply is omitted, maybe with a timing entry and/or a min zoom angle setting including a simple max checkbox.

btw: i haven't found a possibility to add/alter files in /Applications/Panotour Pro 2.0.app/Contents/Resources/transitions or somewhere else in the PTP2 systems directory for this purpose.

best
thomas

You could add your own transitions into your user directory.
Make a copy of a transition, rename it with a new ID and update code.
See : Panotour Pro > Edit > Open user directory

But transitions are only for panorama to panorama actions.
