https on video/webviewer

by capotondi » Mon Dec 02, 2013 7:06 pm

i would like that the web adn videoviewer wouldn't change the url from https to http.
when embedding the tour into facebook it would not show if hosted on http and not on http.
i tried changing it manually but for videos the problem remain that the player(koloreyes) doesn't provide an https player.
Best Regards

well every youtube video is served also true https so it's enough to add https instead of http.
now i have some links like https://360tourview.com/tours/salnegrabuild/salnegra , therei a weather plugin so it won't show a green connection but it's enough to be accepted from facebook so that the ifame works on the facebook page.
The problem is, as i sayd that for what i understood the kolor box is changing every url in http and this won't be shown in https connections.
You can try it embeddind a video from youtube in a https page using http://youtube it won't show nothing, if you try using https://youtube it will show the frame but then will block the player koloreyes.
I understand is not a big issue but when a customer need to embed the tour on facebook is going to lose many features in this case.

Sorry but you are talking about koloreyes player ? facebook integration ? websitebox plugin ?
Because into your url nothing of this appears.

I'm sorry
i tought you want to test it, i didn't understand you wanted to see it in action.
Also because i should show you the different settings.
Anyway i haven't published this version yet, i'm testing it.
You can take a look to a testing url https://360tourview.com/tours/prova/papagayo.
The website viewer is not working because the meteo is not resolving at https so it is just blank.
The Youtube video is working now, but in order to make it work i had to go in KolorBox.min.js and in the youtube line at the end C=http... i added an s so youtube is always served true https. If i don't do this the viewer would be blank as for the website viewer. Vimeo is working on it but not yet available. i think it's the same with koloreyes.
Having weather plugin or other external sources will always cause to loose the green label on the browser but it's enough to be allowed to embed the virtual tour on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/360tourview/ap ... 2544333196 here is a test to use an iframe on facebook served with https if http is not shown.
I hope i explained my self better this time.

For me, https://www.360tourview.com/weather/adeje/adejeen return a 404 error, so cannot be displayed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7FIvfx5J10 works in my tests without edit of the JS file.
But I've noticed that your are under Beta 2 version of Panotour Pro. The Beta 5 version correct this problem.

Try to use Beta 5 (which offer more stability and added functionnalities) on your project (keep a copy of Beta 2 work before).

For Facebook, what is the "the green label" ?

You are right the link was correct but i made a modification, now is working.By green label i mean that in https the browser shows you the green bar with the look but if you have soma unsafe elements it takes of the green bar(green label) and put a yellow triangle.

I'll update the beta version immediately.
1 more thing,it would be hard to provide in the UI the chance to add other languages? even if panotour pro doesn't provide the translation of the tooltip it could be interesting to be able to add other languages so that panotour pro will generate in messages.xml many languages as selected and there we can provide manually the translation.
I'm doing manually bu it could be pretty easy to add it i think.
Best Regards

Languages : is for a 2.X future version. Probably the 2.1.

It seems that https://www.360tourview.com/weather/adeje/adejeen is the source of the security warning because this https page use http urls. So into an iframe security warning happens.

Exactly, whenever you add a link to an http source it gives you the security warning, but for what i wanted it's ok.
Facebook allows me anyway to embed an iframe even with the secutiy warning, ofcourse it won't shows the http link, but at least you can play the tour in the iframe.
About languages, it would be great if all the tooltip and the url would be retrived from messages skin so it would be a lot easier to make translations and also to change images url.
I'm doing a project in 4 languages in which the info ill be displayed as an image , depending on the language choosen by the user it will display a different source image. Actually pretty easy using the CData in message skin. I made the test using the link a gave you, if you change the language the weather will be displayed in the choosen language and with fullscreen you'll see the forecast.
I made also a crop and twining effect on the hotspot(back to the dancing area) , it would be hard to give more control over the hotspots?

Hi Again,
i published the project in 4 languages, every tootlip url link and info image change in regarding by the choosen language.
But i really got stuck, there was no way to use the webviewer, i got one crash after another so at the end i sent the link outside.
Even when i tried to add the first webviewer, but it's the first time i tried to use together with the gallery, it could be this?
