Hi Guys,

I have just completed a 36 node tour of a school in PTP2v4, and the tour is around 530MB. (There are no other elements such as slide show or music.)
This is around twice the size of tours produced on earlier versions of PTP.
I normally produce 6000x3000equis as 16 bit TIFFs and upload these to PTP
Is there any obvious way of reducing the tour size without compromising quality?
What if I convert the TIFFS to jpegs? Would that help, or does the PTP conversion sort all that out?

PTP convert TIFF into JPG tiles. You can change the JPG quality on Build window, but it seems it's not a solution for you.

Hi Benji

OK Problem solved.
I produced the original panos and called them Scene 1,2,3 etc
Produced a tour design.
Later renamed the scenes Entrance, Playground etc and built the tour.
In the folder I uploaded there were the scene folders for both the original and the renamed scenes thus making the tour twice as large as it needed to be...

Simple mistake to make, and hopefully will serve as a hint to others to check that the files being uploaded the the server are really necessary and no duplicates are there.

regards

Into Panotour Pro go to "Manage build files" (folder icon) and remove red unused directories and files of your project before next update.
