Hello being new to PTP and coming from FPP I do mis some functionality.
First is more a lack of KRpano but maybe PTP could solve this in the future.
1.) In FPP you have an editor.swf (similar to the one that ships with KRpano) but much more powerful. Any hotspot that you have setup in your XML is accessible by this editor (dopdown list of all hotspots) and the editor gives you the possibility to change ALL POSSIBLE VALUES for the selected spot. While changing these values you see how the hotspot (real content) changing LIVE. (transparency, direction, distance, EVERY POSSIBLE VALUE) This makes it very easy to position any kind Hotspots exactly like you want (logos, points on floor plans, videos in TV screens, objects, images, swfs, navigation elements,.... ).
As a starting point of what I would wish for/expect (at this price level !!):
1.) More different "directly accessible" hotspot types e.g.: Image, Video, SWF.
2.) More influence on the essential (all possible) settings a hotspot can have: url="..." alturl="..." keep="false" devices="all" visible="true" enabled="true" handcursor="true" zorder="" style="" ath="0.0" atv="0.0" edge="center" zoom="false" distorted="false" rx="0.0" ry="0.0" rz="0.0" width="" height="" scale="1.0" altscale="" rotate="0.0" alpha="1.0" onover="" onhover="" onout="" onclick="" ondown="" onup="" onloaded="" altonloaded=""
3.) What I find very strange in PTP is the fact that you can not MOVE hotspots once they got created. You only have the option to delete them. Why not drag them around or resize them??
4.) As already stated by some others: group-able hotspots!
5.) Same as above (1-3) for PLUGINS please.
6.) A more advanced wish would be an ACTION/EVENT EDITOR or, to make life easier, an inline XML editor.
Please don't get me wrong, PTP 1.6 RC for me IS a good starting for new projects, for people not comfortable touching the XML it can already do a lot. KRpano standalone would be useless to them without PTP anyway. I for myself still don't know if I regret my purchase. It feels a bit like paying nearly double the price for the 3-buttoned-remote-control (PTP) than for the 42" TV screen it controls (KRpano).
Just my thoughts.
