I used panotour for the first time yesterday. I have been using krpano so I have a reasonable understanding...

The tour is html5 compatible. I uploaded to the server for testing. I get "xml parsing failed" on ipad.

I look at the xml and I do find a couple of spaces missing! I then open the xml into safari and it loads which means the xml works.

I re-upload, then test with the desktop machine, it works! I run safari in develop mode to test iPad compatibility and it works! However, I get the same message on the iPad after refreshing....

Any ideas?!

Many thanks

Rich!

Can we have URL to view the tour?

Is it HTML5 only or both Flash and HTML5?

How much of this would you say was done with PTP and how much handcoded?

Does the error message on the iPad offer any more detail?

mostly ptp including the logos. the position of the elements and zoom controls were changed in the xml http://www.itsrich.info/360vr/balboa/GENOVA.xml

I also added z order as they were hidden below the opaque bar. can you have several items in one z order or do they need to have unique levels? I have a few on the same level and wonder if that may be the problem..

<plugin name="logo3" url="GENOVAdata/graphics/logo3.png" keep="true" align="lefttop" x="0" y="-2" width="2500" height="prop" handcursor="false" capture="false"/>

I think you hand coded that line?

It doesn't look like code generated by PTP when compared to a quick test I did with your graphic, PTP doesn't allow me to entre a value as large as 2500 fro width vui the GUI, and I think the handcursor and capture attributes are hand coded?

Is this attribute valid? Is a negative value permitted?

y="-2"

It's the only obvious difference I can see between that line and this one:

<plugin name="logo6" url="GENOVAdata/graphics/logo6.png" keep="true" align="leftbottom" x="0" y="0" width="2500" height="prop" handcursor="false" capture="false"/>

HI MEDIAVETS!

thanks a lot for your help!

I have used negative values before, so there is no reason why that should be a problem.

Turns out, it is not the xml, but the html. For some reason the html file created by ptp was not html5 compatible! I noticed there was no html.js file and rewrote thr html5 Works on the iPad "butiful" as Bernard Matthew would say...
