Trying to figure out how to do the corkscrew intro in some of Sam's tours. The start parameters only show Autotour or auto rotate. I like how from the little planet start the tour corkscrews in then does one full (fast) spin and stops where he wants to. I feel dumb, I am sure there is something simple I am missing just can figure it out. Here is the link to Sam's sample.

Hi!

You just need to edit the xml - setting a high value between start- and end of the move. When you set a highvalue it makes a full or more turn while moving
to the horizontal view.

Here i used a short turn: http://360impressions.de/ChinesenPlanet/

I did it years ago with PTP 1.8 (i guess).

The values in the basic xml:

</action>
<action name="setlittleplanet">
set(view.stereographic, true);
set(view.fisheye , 1.0);
set(view.limitview , lookat);
set(view.vlookatmin , -90);
set(view.vlookatmax , 90);
set(view.fov , 150);
set(view.fovmax , 150);
set(view.hlookat , 0);
set(view.vlookat , 90);
set(display.flash10 , off);
set(display.details , 14);
</action>

and the values in the xx0.xml:

<action name="tweennormalview">
tween(view.hlookat, 72, 8, easeInOutQuad);
tween(view.vlookat, -1.22, 8, easeInOutQuad);
tween(view.fov , 90, 8, easeInOutQuad );
tween(view.maxpixelzoom,1.0, 8, easeInOutQuad );
tween(view.fisheye, 0.0, 8, easeInOutQuad, WAIT);
set(display.flash10, on);
set(view.limitview , range);
set(view.vlookatmin, -90);
set(view.vlookatmax, 90);
set(view.hlookatmin, -180);
set(view.hlookatmax, 180);
set(view.maxpixelzoom, 1.0);
set(view.fovmax , 90);
</action>

Thank you very much for the prompt response Klaus, was hoping it was not an xml edit but not a big deal. Again, thank you!

Klaus,

Your lack of distortion on rotation is amazing. I am assuming that is you "tweaking" out the pan to achieve this. Any tips on lowering edge rotation distortion?

Hi Ed!

Just use no more than 90° - better 70° hor for the rotation.

best, Klaus
