animate GIF

by Tonio » Mon Aug 19, 2013 1:48 pm

Hi everybody !

I really need to integrate an animate GIF in a virtual tour. But ... it don't work ( V1.8). Is it possible with Panotour V2 ?

Or should i convert my GIF into a video ?

Thanks a lot for your help !

How did you want to use the animated GIF?

Then, yes, better to use a supported video format.

But I expect you know that video is not supported in mobile-compatible tours (for iDevices) created with PTP 1.8?

Any joy with this one?

I'd like to include some animated gifs opened from a spot (reasons: smaller file size and higher res - better clarity - and adjustable frame rate to name but a few) I've tried converting to video, but from a 5mb gif file they go up to 20mb and loose image sharpness.

Any ideas?

Are you using PTP 1.8 or PTP 2.x?

2.0, but after a morning "playing" I've found a workaround, still not the quality (image sharpness) I was hoping for but I think I'm there...I'd prefer to add gifs though :0)

OK - I asked because this topic relates to PTP 1.8.

Anyway - with PTP 2.x did you try displaying your animated GIF in a web site veiwer box?

This was the only topic I found using the search and thought it's as good a place as any to start/ask

Website viewer box? :?

Via (choose action...basic>open a website)?

How do you get it in a box? is it a nice neat pop out box, or a browser window?

Many thanx
