by MART » Thu Aug 15, 2013 8:25 am

Hi
Could I ask if any tester of PTP 2 can clarify if there is now the ability to display partial panoramas or planar projection in i devices.
Many Thanks

Planar projection images are not yet supported in PTP 2.x alpha 14, on any device/platform.

If you want to test PTP2.x for yourself you can ask Kolor to register you on the VIProom forum set up to support pre-release testing and use of PTP 2.x there you will find download links and peer support with input from the developers.

PTP 2.x is in alpha state - incomplete with some bugs - but so many people wanted to use it fro production work warts-n-all that Kolor decide to make licenses available. You can upgrade from PTP 1.x through your Kolor Web store account.

Thanks mediavets
My intention was to wait until the release of PTP2 before upgrading but I have a job that would benefit from the ability to use planar in i devices , is the partial pano projection also unavailable on idevices?
Many Thanks

Don't know - I don't have an iDevice to test with.

So what's your workaround?

Basically used the MAP function to display the flat image with interactive hot spots, Map full screen on start ,close map full screen interactive spots show different view states all functions on desk top and ipad. No need for planar or partial pano which obviously doesn't display on ipad .

OK - do you have the tour online so I can see the effect?

Hi mediavets, the map one is not online I binned it as it was just to test on iphone. Will send you a desktop version which is almost identical again just a test.
Some limitations with using the MAP but works well for this project to give a planar interactive tour on i devices.
