Help with Panotour pro - text bubbles

by irpano » Wed Jan 11, 2012 4:34 am

Hi, I am testing out Panotour pro for panorama presentations in the form of a slide show. I can use the hotspot control to advance to the next image in the flash file and I was wondering

a. can the hotspot be attached or positioned so that it is in relation to the navigation bar.

b. Can text be made to pop up whenever the mouse run over an object.

Also is panotour suitable for this type of presentation.
Thanks in advance
John

Not without some custom XML codeing.

b. Can text be made to pop up whenever the mouse run over an object.

Yes, but depending on what you want it may require custom XML coding.

Also is panotour suitable for this type of presentation.

Not really but see this thread:

ad b:

custom editing xml code of the panotour code can do it:

show krpano docu for

plugins (I mean the <plugin name="myplugin" ... constructs of the pano xml...)
inside the plugin you can place an option/value like
onover="..."; see: http://www.krpano.com/docu/xml/#plugin.onover
onhover="..."; see: http://www.krpano.com/docu/xml/#plugin.onhover
onout="...";
etc.
and inside this "..." you can place the command to display text...
showtext(...)

Georg

Andrew and George. Thanks for the replies. George, I'm not confident with the editing of the plugin?. I not even sure how panotour works.
Andrew, youpointed me to a thread from the forum but I still could not understand so after watching one of the tutorials for panotour I came up with this example of what i would like to do.
The images are only some sample pics I used but you will get the idea when you click on the hotspots.If you have any ideas as to how to position the hotspots so that they are like the info text (On a top layer, i would appreciate any advice.
Here is the flas pano
