I purchased a sony bloggie with a 360 video lens
I nned to use the result video inside the coming PTP that supports video 360
http://www.kolor.com/blog-en/2011/06/02/palmela-2011-virtual-tours-today-tomorrow/

there was no supporting software !

I couldn't unwarp the video

I googled that, hte only thing I found is videowarp director from gopano 300$

Hi!

I also have that funny bloggie cam, mine has a software called PMB on CD : http://www.sony-mea.com/support/download/316131
and this method I have successfully tried, too : http://www.diy-streetview.org/2010/06/26/sony-bloggie-hacked/
including removing one of the magnets in the lens.

First, my Bloggie came with software that would unwrap, so not sure why yours didn't.

But I found better, and use it instead -- another poster has already linked you to that ...

So I don't know what your problem is. On a Mac, use the BloggieUnwarpVideo zip file. The instructions are simple, and the process is much better than the software Sony supplies. You can choose a higher quality output codec (I use ProRes), you can chose a larger dimension output file (I up sample by 50%), and you can quickly preview -- truly, better in every way.

But for some reason your post indicates you haven't found or can't figure out the solution you've been pointed to ..?

Cheers,
GB

hi guys
i have a question regarding the bloggie too.
i hacked my bloggie also by removing one of a magnet inside the dome head so that all dome video can be recorded at 1080 30f rates.
but when i want to convert the video file in pmp, it says the file format is not support?
is it a limitation for the pmp software?
many thanks

Yes, if you have removed the magnet, the only way to unwrap the video is third party software, it will work with the software provided under the link above.

would you mind if u can tell me a little more how to use the unwrap software?

1. i download this 20mb software and unzip it in my pc
http://www.flong.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/BloggieVideoUnwarp.zip

2. then i download the processing environment software and also unzip it in my pc
http://www.processing.org/download/

3. execute the processing environment software

4. i suppose i need to open the bloggie unwrap.pde file in the program.

5. after that ,,, what should i do next? how can i unwrap my dome videos here?

Are you on a PC or a Mac? I'm a PC user and used the following on Ubuntu Linux :

Code: Select all
mplayer -vo jpeg:optimize=100:quality=100:outdir=/home/me/Panorama/bloggie/1080 '/home/me/Panorama/bloggie/bloggie-360Lens(1080-30p)-1.mp4' -nosound

cd /home/me/Panorama/bloggie/1080
 ls *.jpg | xargs  -I FILE convert  FILE  +distort DePolar '686 176 938,531' /home/me/Panorama/bloggie/square/FILE

cd /home/me/Panorama/bloggie/square
 mencoder mf://*.jpg -mf w=1603:h=510:fps=30:type=jpg -of lavf -ffourcc FLV1 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=flv -o '/home/me/Panorama/bloggie/bloggie-360Lens(1080-30p)-1_unwraped.avi'

mplayer -vc dummy -vo null -ao pcm:file=/home/me/Panorama/bloggie/audio.wav '/home/me/Panorama/bloggie/bloggie-360Lens(1080-30p)-1.mp4'
