In Render settings, when PSD with panorama and embedded pictures is selected, the file has a black preview in the Mac Finder and in Adobe Bridge.

When the file is opened in Photoshop CS4, only a blank layer has visibility enabled in the the layers panel.

The other layers are correctly written. If the panorama layer were made visible, then I believe it could be previewed by the Finder and Adobe Bridge.
