New Android Application for controlling Panogear Head

by AlexKuro » Thu Apr 25, 2013 4:02 pm

Recently I made a simple application for controlling panogear from mobile phone with android (>2.2) OS.
Right now it can work with papywizard xml presets only, but it fully meets my needs at this moment.
So i decide to open its source and share it with you.
https://github.com/snable/paShoot
Read instructions to run it.

What you saw at right-bottom corner of application window?
Is path to file (you can see it at the center of screen) correct?
Is this application ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skywatcher.PanoramaApp ) works?
Is red LED on Panogear bluetooth flashes or lights after connecting?
It was tested on HTC Wildfire (Android 2.2.1) and Samsung GALAXY Pocket S5302 (Andoid 2.3.6) and works ok.
Unfotrunately, android emulator won't work with bluetooth, so i can't test it with higher versions of android right now.

When only touch shoot button app has stopped and i don't see any changes in right-bottom corner. But if select : connect-stop there is "service discovery failed" .
See screenshots.

I don't see any path to file.

Is this application ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta … anoramaApp ) works?

Yes

Is red LED on Panogear bluetooth flashes or lights after connecting?

I use papymerlin and there is green led. When disconnected - flashes, when connected continous light (in panoramaApp and panoShoot)

Sorry, definitely my bad.
Directory must be named "panoShoot" instead of "panoShooter". ("paShoot" now)
Rename and send me feedback, please.

Did you turn on bluetooth?
Did you pair papyMerlin device on bluetooth settings?

Hi
All your question check list is working fine, after connecting when I press shoot- the bottom corner shows 0/0 but the head is not rotating, then disconnects n again shows connect option.also im unable to access the settings nothing is displayed. panorama app is working fine.
I use panogear purchased a month ago, is it differnt from papy merlin n is that the problem.

Probably your preset file incorrect. Can u show it? Try this one - https://raw.github.com/snable/paShoot/master/EXAMPLE/preset.xml
Make sure that file encoding is UTF-8.

There are no settings and bracketing support. Maybe I or someone else (source is open) will add this feature later.
