Hello

I am not a computer expert so this question might be stupid. I have an imac (bought 2007), 4GB RAM and Leopard. I see that there are two versions for downloads one in 32 bit and one in 64 bit?
How do I know which one I should download?

Thanks

Sigi

You can get the 64bit version. If you go to the Apple menu, look at "More about this Mac". If it says Core 2 Duo, then definitely 64 bit. If it says Core Duo then 32 bit. But I am almost certain than in 2007 the iMac was Core 2 Duo.

If for the release ( probably the 28 or 29 april ), if it's not ready, it's not really problematic. We are going to make a small translation revamp in the code to simplify that task because some sentences are often in double or triple. So by refactoring that, it should be more easy to do.
Translation have been planned in final version for the minor fix after the initial release, probably 2 weeks after the initial release : v2.0.1.
That's the plan.

When do you forsee the implementation of fusion in the new Giga? Im just trying to pick my time to buy as this is the biggest improvement for me. Thanks

I have to agree with Photomadnz, it would be nice to finally have fusion going... How long ago was it that we had the poll going to see what was more important... Fish Eye against HDR...
Whilst HDR and fusion are very much in vogue all over the world, it is extra important for photographers in the southern hemisphere...
This probably asks for some explanation for our counterparts in the northern hemisphere : The polluted atmosphere in the northern hemisphere brings one big bonus for photographers - it scatters the light, produces a discrete fill-light for the shadows, and reduces the contrast between sunny and shady side of your subject to around 1 to 8.
Here in New Zealand, or Australia for that matter, we pay for our clean atmosphere by having to cope with a very harsh light... in stead of 1 to 8, we have a sunny side / shady side contrast of around 1 to 30... and yes, an elegant HDR or fusion algorithm built into Autopan Giga would make all the difference.

HDR and Fusion is planned ( quite already developed but not integrated yet ).
So probably in v2.1 or v2.2. ETA ? september/october probably.
After the release, I'll use some time to make a schedule with planned feature.
