Panobook of the year, WIP

by AlexandreJ » Wed Sep 03, 2008 11:25 am

Hi,

We needed 2 days for reviewing the images provided ( around 1600 images in total, from 226 different users ). The final user number is lower than the figure I gave before because some have connected to the panobook interface without uploading any image. This is an average of 7 images per user ( We even got an user that uploaded more than 200 images and I must confess there are all just fabulous ... wondering if he's not a pilot to shot on all places he send us ).

Anyway, I must say to all, I'm totally impressed by the global quality. You have provided some really fabulous landscapes, distorted images, famous viewpoints, sunsets ( you like that a lot ), unexpected scenes.

So far, we have 351 images selected, but we're waiting some users to reupload some images because of uploading issue. We'll use 2 more days to check each image of this selection individually. End of this week, our graphist responsible for the book will get all images to start layout of the book.

We'll make the work needed to get the same quality for the book as the images inside.

Alex

it would be nice to complete the foto-infos for the selected ones to get consistant information for each picture in the book...;)

I agree. At least I submitted some sloppy comments, mainly because I was uploading from work and then forgot to add "real" comments from home. If you could let people know which pictures you want comments for, that would be nice. And probably extra work :)

I suppose telling us what sort of comments you want would also be a good idea. I had no idea so I didnt write any, except for one image where i explained why the sky was missing.

Hi,
is it planned, to show a low resolution version, when the book is ready?

Christian
