Hey everyone,

After some gear upgrades and lots of reading i have completed another tour of a Yoga Studio. Please check it out and give me some feedback.

I think stitch was a success this time, i really enjoy the colors as well.

What I want to know mostly is all of your opinion on the Top drop-down pano size. I made it big so it covers the logo when its down, but i might wanna make it small?

Any additions to the tour are also welcomed. I want to target Yoga studios so i want this tour to be presentable as possible.

Thanks in advance to all of you! :D

I've never liked the look of the PTP 1.8 drop down/slide out thumbnails bars - they look ugly and the tab isn't obvious nor is its function - I doubt many people will even find it.

I would prefer a thumbnail stack vertical from the top right that starts open. It would be best if it remained open but you can't specify that from the PTP GUI but I expect you could modify the XML.

The music would drive me away - but then I'm not a target customer. Won't you need some sort of license to use that music? Does this yoga studio specialise in a new type of Jamaican yoga? ;)

There's something going on with text tooltips - see screenshots - are you using a font that's not on my system or something?

How about editing the title of the html page from "Virtual Tour generated by Panotour"?

Hey guys!

Appreciate the awesome input. Here is he new tour with the corrections and my own modifications. Let me know if the font works now, i used a basic one. Also does the tour load sooth for u guys, should i make change in h pano size? I read about "Cutting size" and "Cube faces size" but they really don't explain how it would effect the tour. Help!

Yep fonts fixed and load well for me Max. Mediavets will have the answer on the tile sizes. Something to do with zooming resolution and loading time I think!

did you use the "optimize" button in ptp1.8?
I never took time to get into Details here, but my experience was to use the "optimize" button never Fails...

Yea, that's what i have it set to right now. Thanks guys!

Also, I am really thinking about the "MUSIC" and the licencing situation. I do not know how to advise my client since this will be for commercial use should we consider using a license free music of some kind?

Thanks guys!

Yes, fonts are OK now.

I would make the Thumbnails a lot larger and probably would have a bigger border to attact the user to click on them.

I would probably drop the hotspots for navigating between rooms - the routes in and out of the rooms are hardly of real interest to potential customers in this instance - might be different if it was a real estate tour.

Will people realise they can click on the schedule on the counter to see a larger legible view?

It seems to load OK for me and I have relatively low bandwith (1.5mbps at best) ADSL Net connection here in the UK.

I woud leave everything on default and use that 'optimise switch' that Georg mentioned. Multiresolution should take care of the rest and you should never select 'embed all data'.

I don't have an iDevice but is your tour intended to be viewable with iDevices as well as Flash-enabled platforms?

If so, is it?

Thanks for all of your comments guys, The client really loved it and it was an awesome learning experience.

Next point is to perfect my nodal point. I can't seem to make a perfect stitch and when i shoot my nadirs they don't add up perfect since the lens is not centered. I took a ruler and measure the center and then applied the math to my Panosaurus Pano head, but still I am getting error in my stitch. Any advice?

Hi Max

I also use a Panosaurus, i got slight parralax errors too. i then took the time to adjust it by following this guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEgLgReARxs&feature=share&list=PLYdAm5x3l4m5aTZWLBtIhC4nkCkHOUUoc

Also do you use a bubble level? i check that im level on each shot. That works for me, now i have almost no shift from one shot to the next.

Regards
Jacob
