I find that with APT 1.1.0 Beta 7 - the Thumbnail window pops up on loading, this did not happen with beta 6 , is this intentional, it would be best if the was an option that could be set rather than happening whatever.

Yes, apparently the default behaviour was changed in Beta 7:

and in #30 of the above mentioned thread you can see my solution, so the default behavior can be changed...
