Some months ago, I made a converter, but it never worked:

http://www.papywizard.org/wiki/DataToPtGuiTemplateConverter

Here is the XSL transform:

Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" ?>

<!--
    This stylesheet can transform a data xml file generated by Papywizard
    into a template file which can be loaded in PTGui.
-->

<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output method="text" />
    <xsl:param name="lensHorizFov" />
    <xsl:param name="lensType" />

    <!-- Global template -->
    <xsl:template match="/">
# PTGui project file
#
#-dummyimage
o f<xsl:value-of select="$lensType" /> v<xsl:value-of select="$lensHorizFov" /> w1 h1 y0 p0 r0 a0 b0 c0 d0 e0 g0 t0
        <xsl:apply-templates select="//position" />
    </xsl:template>

    <!-- Template for each input position -->
    <xsl:template match="position">
o f<xsl:value-of select="$lensType" /> y<xsl:value-of select="@yaw" /> p<xsl:value-of select="@pitch" /> r<xsl:value-of select="@roll" />
    </xsl:template>

</xsl:stylesheet>

If someone can tell me exactly what is needed for a PtGUI template, I could make this converter work...

Hi Frédéric, tried the converter allready; but the created file can't be loaded in ptgui: This is not a PTGui project-file!

Thks! Hope anyone knows, what is needed to complete your converter!

Equally interested in a solution, but terribly low on suggestions.

Completely off the top of my head - load the XML file into Autopano using the Papywizard Import filter then Export for PTGui?

That should work, but needs a APP license...

All I need to improve the XSL transform is a precise explanation of the mandatory params for a PtGUI project.

Does anyone use this script? I tried, but PTGui show error message "This is not a PTGui project file".

The problem I saw with Ptgui was that almost after each software update the template format changed and what worked fine with the old version did not work anymore with the current version. In the end I gave up to spend time with it.

The best way should be to ask PtGUI developers to implement the Papywizard import filter (the xml data file is an open format for this purpose).
