Afaik somebody here has one - but i don´t know how it works.

In the price-range i would suggest the Merlin/Orion head. Very much users, much experience, many add-ons.

There are some kind of controlling it:
Papywizard on Notebook via USB --> serial translator - cheap.
PapyWizard on a Nokia 800/810 mini-tablet via Bluetooth - old but cheap. Works not bad . .
The T&C touch-control - 200.-€, but flawlessly working, very small and very much elaborated. More than
400 sold units so far. No problems at all. Plug and play.
The Panoshoot - well . . long story. Afaik never worked as expected. Kolor took it off the list.

Thanks Claude / Klausesser; resolved my issue in regards the Bluetooth >> will buy at magasin.skivr

Will continue searching for Merlin/Orion head.
I don´t know why but I can´t find a USA/America dealer for this specific model. I know it was discontinued and one of the substitute was the intial one I mentioned from b&h.

Regards

I don't think it is marketed in the USA anymore. But it is widely available in Europe.

As said by Mediavets...

This is not marketed in North America.

The All View have replaced the Merlin head ... and several "panographers" are using the Allview with Papywizard, or PandroidWizard without any problems except the weight !
You must also know that the Allview has a handcontroler who is able to take panorama (natively) without external software.

Generator for dji Phantom Pictures

by rruiz » Tue May 19, 2015 1:36 am

I used the Generator from Kevin:
http://exposedbykevin.com/PapySpheric/papyspheric.html

Manually I took several night pics using a Phantom 2 vision drone:
http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-2-vision-plus/spec
Sensor size of 1/2.3"

Based on their specs it generated 195 pictures to create a partial pano.

In the real world, manually I took 21 pictures trying to overlap them and the pano was fine!

What I did wrong with the generator? What inputs would be the correct ones?

The botton line is>>
I want to take more night panos, so I am trying to figure out how to obtain good stitching on those dificult cases using my drone.

Regards

Where did you get the focal length of 14mm from and those sensor dimensions.

Is the drone camera mounted in portrait or landscape orientation?

I saw someone claim a focal length of 5mm and sensor dimension of 6.17 x 4.55 mm for Phantom 2 vision plus and those values generated a preset with 28 images to cover a full sphere.

Another example more clear... the Inspire1 has a 20mm with 1/2.3"(since I will also be using this drone)

http://www.dji.com/product/inspire-1/spec
http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formato_de ... rSizes.svg

Or do I am missunderstanding FOCAL LENGHT and SENSOR SIZE? Please correct me !

Thanks
