How to install Papywizard 2 on a tablet with Bluetooth built in?

by zhiker » Sun Mar 10, 2013 7:56 pm

Since I'm having a real problem of getting my head to wrap around the
concept of installing Papywizard 2 on a tablet (Dell Streak - Andriod 2.2.2)
with Bluetooth built in. So the question is, what are the correct steps to installing
Papywizard on a Andriod Tablet with built in Bluetooth, if they exist. So to make sure
the Bluetooth connection was available, I enabled Bluetooth on the tablet and the
PapyMerlin is discovered or "paired but not connected". Equipment being used are the
Panogear Bluetooth Transmitter Kit for the Skywatcher Merlin Non-Goto, I suspect
that is because Papywizard is not installed on the tablet yet.
Thanks in Advance For your Help.......zhiker

Papywizard doesn't run on Android.

However there will soon be some software that does which will allow you to shoot panos using a Merlin mount..

True but false ;) Papywizard like software exists on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skywatcher.PanoramaApp&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5za3l3YXRjaGVyLlBhbm9yYW1hQXBwIl0. made by Claude's son and it works pretty well :)

To vincen:
You are correct that the link to the andriod software (Panoramaapp) really does
work. The only thing was, I had to get was get a ATT conection, since my GoPhone didn't
have accessibility, switched to a ATT Account. Not that big of issue, so if you you have
bluetooth on your Skywatcher Merlin Non-Goto then use google play and install the
app (PanoramaApp) great for andriod phone use. Question, do you know of a simple, quick
solution for making the slow option just a tadd faster, be nice to know.
FYI: I got the andriod phone for free, Pantech Burst (P9070), come's with Latest Sandwich
version and is Bluetooth Compatible, except slow is slow, fast works great.
Thanks for the advice.................pnwhiker.
