I want to improve the logging feature.

Hi All

Papywizard logging feature is quite detailed, it is meaningful content.
But the biggest drawback is that Papywizard left to save the log list.

On the other hand, when hung Papywizard has no choice but to terminate.
For this reason, when hung Papywizard are able to save the log list.
That is, when you hang Papywizard are unable to obtain any information.

I have a good thought-up a system to resolve this shortcoming.
It is sure to log in to write to any folder in the initial mode.
Now, even when hung Papywizard, you can view the log files.

To prevent a pile of log files, log files may be deleted at the end program Papywizard.

Log files are already saved during normal execution of Papywizard. Depending on the platform, the dir is:

linux & maemo: /tmp
windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Temp¹

BTW, in what circomstancies Papywizard does hang?

¹ you need to enable 'see hidden files' in order to be able to see this dir.

Hi Frédéric
Thanks for reply.

I was given the log file could be found in your.
Many of them are four log files. In other words, it means that you can be traced back to four sessions?

When the hang occurs.
1. During operation of the arrow buttons in the main window.
2. During the shooting sequence.
In particular, two cases are enough to feel disappointed destiny.

I see a ray of hope, thanks to you.
For more facts you know, talk again.

By the way, but I have to switch translation system from Microsoft and Google, how is you?

Arigato!

The log files are rolled over, when they reach a certain size. A new log file is thene created, and the previous one is renamed:

.4 -> deleted
.3 -> .4
.2 -> .3
.1 -> .2
.log ->.1

So, you can have several sessions in these files, or only the part of one, depending on the activity.

If Papywizard hangs, and you have to kill it, then immediatly have a look in the .log file, and you will see the last action. It may help to find the issue. Tell me if you find something usefull to fix it.

By the way, but I have to switch translation system from Microsoft and Google, how is you?

I'm not sure to understand what you mean...
