Manual for Gigapixel-Roundshot

by polk » Mon May 03, 2010 1:43 pm

Hello!

Can someone give me a short manual for creating gigapixel photos?

I stitched a "360° round-shot". 1 row with round about 335.000 pixel.
Wenn I will save in Photoshop it will be crop to 300.000 pixels.

Which steps I have to do for a fullsize image?
How can I create a "website" with Autopano to display the photo in WWW?

Thanks for help.

Which format? I suggest: .psd/.psb
Which version of Photoshop? I suggest CS4
Which OS?
You should use APT´s option to tile big pictures. Read about KRPano/KRPanoTools and it´s features
in the KRPano Forum: http://www.krpano.com/forum/wbb/index.php?l=2

You can´t create a website with APP/G - you have to use a website-application to create a website
in HTML and fill in what you made in APP/G.

APT as a part of APG generates a basic HTML file to show it´s created content via the web. This basic HTML you can edit.

Read about the specs of APP/G/T here: http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/view/Main_Page

Hi Klaus!

1. I want the PSB Fileformat
2. I Use Photoshop CS4 and CS5
3. Windows 7, 24 GB Ram, Intel Core I-960

At least, i create a panorama, stitched it, Save to KRO-Format and then render it to "simple.htm". PERFECT!! But bigger Panorama´s in KRO-Fileformat can´t edit with APT. :-(

Alternativ I used Gigatiler to make small pictures. But what is the next step, when I have small pictures? How can I create a basic HTML site?

Thank you very much!

Hi!

Why do you use the KRO format?

I think you said this was single row of shots? - what is the other dimension of your stitched pano.

What sort of pano scene is this to be worthy of such a large image yet only a single row?

Sorry! first I tried with one row. Now I have some rows more.
I tried in with single row to find out, how I can use a panorama with more than 300.000 Pixel.

I need a step by step manual after stitching the panorama.
- When i have a filesize of 320.000 pixel i save in PSB
- How can I make a flash-file to watch this big panorama (like the 26 gigapixel panorama)?

AGT support not so large files :-((
Anybody knows alternatives?

if you bought a krpano unlimited domain license (or since newest date it is only named krpano license) than you can use the krpano tools. That means you Generate your gigapixel image with AP and than you use the krpano tools available to produce your tour.

http://www.krpano.net

or you can wait for the first APG 2.5 beta Version expected end of Mai which should also include a new APT capable of gigapixel
(dont expect to much here - krpano is so speedy in development of new features that you short or on long term always will enhance your creeated APT tours with features only available with krpano tools ;-))
