HDR Troubles - Thumbnails dark

by dyl4n » Wed Aug 01, 2018 7:38 pm

Hi, I have been using a workflow that has been working mostly very well, but now have hit a snag with a very dark scene.

My Workflow is:

Photomatix - batch stacks to .hdr files (ie 105 x 3 = 35 HDR files)
APG - Bring in 35 .HDR files to APG (Stitch 360 panorama, export as .hdr)
Bring back into Photomatix and tone map - export as TIFF

------------------------------------------------------------

My issue is that the thumbnails and preview are all showing really dark and I can not straighten the panorama because I cannot see enough details.

If I right click a thumbnail and select - view image, it shows nice and bright. see ex screenshot:

Also exported image (TIFF Panorama) shows correct exposure when viewed with HDR capable viewer or Photomatix.

Alternatively - if I could straighten a stitched/exported panorama within APG that would also solve my issues.

Hi,
You can use "Levels" tool and raise the gamma value for work in editor and return to original value before render.
