This set doesnt work - did I mess up shooting?

by bastibasti » Fri May 18, 2018 5:58 pm

I have this set that doesnt work when I try to detect the pano. All other panos from this set worked out fine, i'm not sure what happened. I noticed on some images there is a slight stitching error, maybe the camera was not fixed well on the pano head. (I was in a hurry since the sun was going down) :/

The camera is Canon 77d (exif) and the lens is 8mm Fisheye (12,91mm)
The way I shoot is 6 images 15°down (60°rotation) + 2 60° UP at 180° rotation

Use the perfect pano to export your XML from Edit.. Then use the Papywizard to assist with the issue pano...

There is definitely no mistake shooting.
What happens is an erroneous detection of control points in the floor tiles and in the windows due to repetitive patterns.
As you can see, If these bad links are removed the result is good.
If you have another panorama created with the same shooting pattern that you have used for this, that has no problems, you will save a lot of manual work if you use the method suggested by Destiny.
Experimentation is the funniest way to learn, to ask the fastest
