by Manny » Mon Apr 23, 2018 10:39 pm

Hello,

Did you apply a blending? Which one exactly?
Can you detail your workflow please?

Kind regards,
Olivier

Re: When render knocks out the stitching

I have tried with blend, blend and fusion still the same :(

I have done a few of the tiny planets 360s and used the default settings no problem at all

Before I render they look ok on screen

I am just using the default settings, no matter if I use blend or fusion makes no difference once it exports as JPG

Can you advise what settings to change

Thank you

http://photopilot.co.uk/TinyPlanet/

There are 2 folders 100_0757 is the boat (34 images)
and 100_0777 (68 images) only select 34 of the ones that have not got the dehazed prefix

Hello,

You have a lot of parallax issues due to an excessive overlap between pictures. It create a lot of ghosts as well.
That said, can you just open Group settings, optimization tab and select Distortion: Optimize 1st order and Viewpoint: Optimize. Click OK then detect.

Let me know if it is better.

Best,
Olivier

Hello Olivier,

That change did change a little;

The boat only slightly out now but still not perfect (please see attached image)

The tower is better but the spiral on top is out, and part of the railings are now out? again please see image below..

Hello,

In those areas, as you can see, there are not a lot of details (homogenic surface on the 1st pano, too much overlap and a variation of the nodal point in the 2nd pano).
You can use Control points tool to add automatic or manual control points to improve the stitching.
You can also set Quality of detection to High/Filtering model to Homography.
What is the drone used? Do you use a specific app to shoot the pano?

Hope this can help

Best,
Olivier

Hi Olivier,

I use a DJI Phantom 4 Professional - the APP I use is DJI's own 360

I have created quite a few 360's but the odd one goes like these 2.

I have seen your example of the boat, and seems ok but I wanted the boat at the top.

Could you please send me the render settings you used also the global settings also.

Thank you for your time

Regards
Lee

Hello,

Use the move tool to put the boat up.
In Detection tab, Quality of detection to High/Filtering model to Homography.
Optimization tab, Distortion to 1st order and Viewpoint to Optimize. That's it!
Render settings are the very default.

Hope this can help.

Cheers,
Olivier

Would you add Blend and Fusion before rendering any 360 tint planet?

Can you just advise what Blend and Fusion do?

Hello,

I applied the default blending (Multiband/Smart Cutting).
Here it is ;) http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ama_Editor

Cheers,
Olivier
