Stitching an Art Reproduction

by voggeneder » Mon Jan 22, 2018 10:48 pm

Hey!

I recently was commissioned to create a gigapixel repro of a Schiele painting, and did so by manually moving the camera along a slider while shooting a macro lens. If I import the files into APG, it assumes i shot from a fixed position and corrects for the perspective distortion, creating a pincushion effect.

Is there any way to disable all geometric functions of APG4.4 and only use it to create a planar image?

canon 5dsr, 100mm L 2.8, generic video slider on tripods, APG4.4 OSX 10.11.6

And/or specify 'multiple viewpoints'. (giga only I think)

I'm having the same issue. I have the final size, the number of viewpoints, the serpentine travel, the overlap, the number of rows and columns, and the field of view. I have no place to put those data points. The software seems to just want to figure it all out by itself. But I want to help it :-)

Any ideas on how to set a serpentine viewpoint travel path and then constrain the final image to a rectangle made of exact number of rows and columns. Planar.

Microsoft ICE does have places for most of these inputs, but I still don't get a good clean rectangle.
