Stitch Photo in Giga

by Matheus » Thu Sep 21, 2017 3:31 pm

Hi
I'm using a pano template in panovideo to align my cameras
Is it possible to use the same process when you want to stitch a Photo via Giga ?
Thanks

Hello,

You have a "Save as Template" option in Autopano: http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... or#Toolbar

Best regards,
Olivier

Hi Olivier
Thanks
I think I didn't explain correctly my issue.
In fact What I want to do :
Stitch photo from the Gear 360 2017
If I want to stitch Video from this camera I have a template which align the 2 lenses correctly and then I just have to work a little bit on the stitching
BUT if I want to stitch a photo, this is a nightmare. I have tested everything (like making a copy of the photo) then cropping to get the left and right lens
Tried different focal lengh, but still a lot of distortion and camera not aligned

So I was wondering as I have a template that I used in autopanovideo is there a way to use it to stitch Photo ...
Thanks again for your help

Hello,

Have you tried to stitch your pictures using your video template?
We do not have any template unfortunately. Some videos are available on Youtube which could help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiH5uy3jrIU
You can also use the different settings available in the Group settings menu.

Hope this can help.

Best regards,
Olivier

Just have a look at the documentation link I gave you and you will find where to copy your .pano file on Windows or OSX ;-)
Then, after copying the .pano file, once again in Group settings menu, Layout field, select your template: http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ection_tab

Hope this helps.

Best,
Olivier

Hi Olivier
Thanks
I've followed everything you said
I've first created a new pano template
I've put it in
C:\Users\mathias\AppData\Local\Kolor\Autopano Giga 4.4\User\Templates
I've restarted Giga
I've been into detection parameters see (detection.png) and have selected the pano I did
I'm selected my images then click on detection.
But whether I'm using my pano or the standard one, the result is the same (see result)
So Don't really understand ;(
Any idea ?
Thanks

Hello,

I'm sorry I'm not familira with 360 Gear pictures stitching. You can try to create a preset using this tutorial: http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... era_preset

Hope this can help.
Best,
Olivier
