Imported rectangular image round and cropped

by jboss » Tue May 17, 2016 4:21 pm

I am trying to hide the tripod in my 360 video using a still image. The tripod is not in the nadir because I shot at a 45 degree angle to have vertical stitch lines, so I want to include the still image as a blended picture.

But when I import the rectangular 4x3 picture it shows up round in my pano and I miss part of the picture. In the attached screenshot you can see the original picture on the right and the import on the left. I would expect it to have the same pillow or barrel shape as the 4x3 video's, so what am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Found the answer myself, so in case someone comes across the same question:

In the bottom panel there is a button for image properties. Here you can set the radius for circle crop. That radius is defaut set to 1200, which covers the whole frame for the 1920x1440 video's, but only part for the 4000x3000 still image. So you can either increase the radius or (in Photoshop or similar) resize the still image to be 1920x1440.
