change log for 3.5

by klausesser » Tue Feb 04, 2014 6:06 pm

Alexandre suggested to read the change-log before using the 3.5 Beta - but where can the change-log be found?

I installed the 3.5b1 in parallel to my 3.0.8 Version.
I did test the same XML file and sourceimages with both Versions.

3.5 b1 is giving me better results, the new automatic mode does really find better Settings than I could do with the 3.0.8 Version.
no Crash at all until now, better RMS values (numerical) than in 3.0.8 Version and on Problem zones like pallalax issues caused by objects near to lens (lamps on zenith, open doors etc.) closer than 60cm...
better Color correction.

I cant wait to mix 18mm Images for the pano and 1-2 Fisheye Images for Nadir shot from Nadir or even handheld (see 3.5 preview Video). Also the mixing focal lengths up to Ratio 1:4 will be hardly used Feature for landscape panos...

I like too the grouping of Settings to Logical Units. until now it was hard to figure out which Settings does have Impact on which other Settings. first Impression is that its now going in wright direction.

very promising is also the Feature of using exif-free Images.... this will now shorten the workflow when using Manual lenses ....

how can I get the Color seperation in the layer mode shown in the 3.5 preview Video?

Liebe Gruesse
Georg
