Hi there

I found a better use for black areas around panoramas

instead of cropping (and deleting) them, use some inpainting program to restore areas

for example, my cheap InPaint lets you do it easily, as explained here http://www.theinpaint.com/inpaint-how-to-fill-black-areas-of-a-panorama.html

This looks quite nice ! I do the same thing using Photoshop's "content aware fill". It's a lifesaver sometimes !
