Hi

Windows Vista HP 32 bit SP1 on an Acer Aspire 5920 with 2Gbyte of RAM.

When rendering trees against the sky using multiband there appears to be an echo (light grey shading) that's not there using Smartblend.

Of course. Smartblend has anti-ghosting, Multiband does not. What you see are the so called ghosts - they appear when you have moving objects in overlapping areas of your shots.

You mean moving trees? ;) (couldn't resist)

If you find that the trees have moved between exposures, you could try increasing ISO and decreasing aperture value so that you can shorten the exposure from over 100 years to less than 10 :P
