Autopano Pro - Auto Pano Giga OpenCL GPU / CUDA support

by aramaz » Sun Aug 12, 2018 4:35 pm

I'm considering purchasing Autopano Giga or Autopano Pro. I'm using the trial version to test and so far the results are great.

The only problem I see is that it's not using gpus at all! I have two GTX 1080s and I believe a software like stitching panorama can benefit from GPGPU such as OpenCL GPU or CUDA computations.

Here's a screenshot of the task manager that tells me autopano pro isn't using gpu:
(I checked the gpu usage during render antighost, warping etc)

My question is, is there going to be an update to support gpu computation or is Kolor now only focused on video stuff and I should be looking elsewere?

unfortunately, we do not plan to release a new version soon. GPU is used to display modification made into the editor in realtime or to display a panorama from a project file as fast as possible.

Let me know if you have any question.
