apg 4.0.0 final always crashes in editor

by Christian Stüben » Fri May 08, 2015 12:33 pm

Hi all,
after upgrading to apg 4.0.0 final it always crashes in editor mode.

I load 4 fisheye pics, autorecognize, enter editor, and try to delete some control points. After this every next action leads the editor to an endless loop. No crash message, no dump, nothing.

Task manager says the process uses 0%.

I tried to update newest video driver. No result.

I tried to deactivate GPU for editor. No result.

Old Laptop with Windows 7 64, Geforce 9600M GT, Driver 341.44, nvidia control 7.8.840.0

What is going wrong? What should i try next? Is 4.0.1 with bugfixes on the way?

greetings from germany
Chris

I am someone that had a lot of crashes. Solved it by lowering the max memory APG can use. It's in the settings, change it and restart APG and hope for the best.

Re: apg 4.0.0 final always crashes in editor  [SOLVED]

This weekend i took an old disk with win xp, trashed it, and made a complete and clean reinstall of win 7 and apg. Until now, apg is working well again.

And and additional bonus for me ... i have complete forgotten that win 7 can be this fast.

My suggestion to all ... make more often a complete reinstall from scratch :/ It´s worth the time. More than 6 years of ever-running win 7 and thousands of install software, deinstall software, hundreds of patches all have left their marks. And one of them must have broken something apg needs.

greetings from germany
Chris
