[Win7 64bit] APG freezes when lens profile is selected.

by planb » Tue Mar 31, 2015 9:46 am

Hi everyone,

my APGcrashes when I try and select the lens profile (Tokina 11-16 f2.8 DX) from the adobe lightroom lens profiles. It freezes both on APG 4.00 RC1 and APG 3.7.1. It freezes immediately once I selected it from the explorer window and clicked on open.

I use a 32 core 32 gig CADnetwork ProViz W60 workstation with an up to date win 7 SP1.

Are you able to upgrade to the final release?

Hi planb,

The freeze that you experiment is due to the fact that some of the lense profile files (*.lcp files) have changed and are not supported by Autopano's OpenLens plugin yet. What you can do instead :

--> Correct your lense distortions, chromatic aberrations and vignetting using another software (Camera Raw, Lightroom...) and import the corrected pictures to Autopano.

OR

--> Since Autopano's optimizer estimates lens distortions and can correct color and vignetting failures, you can directly try to stitch your panorama without additional correction on your pictures.

Best,

Claire
