how to avoid getting odd pixel number width for 360" panos

by gkaefer » Tue Jan 14, 2014 8:04 pm

Following Scenario:

with a 1.7crop sensor I do a 360x180 pano with 18mm focal (lens) and with 31 Images.
I use panoneed head with TC handcontroller recording papywizard Format XML files.
apg 3.0.8 does perfectly use the XML ans does stitch the pano.

BUT in about 50% of my tries I do get panos with a odd number of Pixels in width.
the heigth are less Pixels than representing the 180", because the head does not take the Nadir Image so I can Close the Nadir.

in screenshot you can see apg does state ist a 360x178.18 pano with 21287x10536 Pixels.

PROBLEM: the rendered pano cant be enlarged to fill the empty space with some sort of Color. in my example I used green for screenshot in ptp 2.0

how to force APG 3.0.8 so a 360" pano allways does get an even number of Pixels width?
how can I let APG 3.0.8 automatically enlarge the panos height and fill it up with some sort of Color?

screenshot: the green is the filled up Color of the area from 178.18"-180" and the black part around the green is the panoneed head and also you can see the three legs of my manfrotto 9kg tripod.

Georg

IF the Import wizard respects the APG Global settings then this should work:
