I've done my first multi-node tour, which performs perfectly on a local hard drive.

Uploaded to my server, the single html and main xml files created by Autopano Tour reside in the same directory. Other data, xml and graphics files reside in subdirectories. No file or directory names have been changed.

When I browse to the main html file, I get an error. The main xml file fails to download.

The link:

http://www.lassiter.com/uncg_house/tour/house.html

I know I must be overlooking some very elementary, but I'm stumped.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Tom

Hi Tom!

maybe you an unfinished upload? Most likely. Or forgot a file?
maybe you used a letter or a spacer in the name somewhere which the server rejects?
maybe the server is full? (i had that once . . )

best and good luck to find the problem, Klaus

This is what your directory should look like:

Klausesser,

I've reexported my files and uploaded several times, but maybe I do have a bad space or character somewhere. Server space is no issue.

The file directory looks like this:

It seems to me that your directory may have some sort of access restriction applied, such as 'view directory' but is preventing actual access to the files - well, it does allow access to the house.html file but not the others. Have you locked access to them in some way when you uploaded them.

I recommend the google chrome page inspector to debug (Firefox also has similar tool).
Launch your page in Chrome, right click, 'inspect element', Resources ...
Here is what I get : *see images*

Sounds like a mismatched tag in your script coupled with some access restrictions...

Thanks, Scaben & Adrien. Problem solved.

Your suggestions had me check the file permissions on all the xml files. For some reason, Group access was denied. Once I altered the permissions, everything started working.

Now I need to research why the permissions defaulted to that setting. Either it's in my FTP client or something about the server's treatment of XML. More research fun!

Thanks very much to all.
