xml coding for thumbnails closed by opening VT?

by HDVR » Thu Apr 01, 2010 2:53 pm

Hi all!

Some weeks ago there was a big thread on the default behavior of map and thumbnails under the title "APT 1.1.0 beta 7 - map - default behaviour". It was mentioned that the default behavior of both can be changed in the xml coding... I want the thumbnails to be closed when the VT opens and to open when one clicks on the arrow on the black label; but I can't quiet figure it out in the coding. Appearently the slide-in and out had something to do with it but again;- I can't make it work. Can someone help me with the exact coding? Thank you.... Linda

Hi Linda!

I strongly suggest the KRPano site:

http://www.krpano.com/index.php?lang=en

Much advises here.

it was this thread: http://www.autopano.net/forum/t8222-apt-1.1.0-beta-7-map-default-behaviour
and for my solution jump directly to: http://www.autopano.net/forum/p58446-2010-02-06-04-02-09#p58446

save your tour by not embedding all to the flash file. this only can be done with a krpano unlimited domain license.
so what I described will only work if you disable the option "embed all data" and "embed xml files" under export option of projct properties. and this only is possible with the unlimited domain license of krpano (krpano.com or also available via kolor shop)

review your created xml files (can be opended and edited with every txt editor) and look for an big code block as seen in my thread example (the fist top code block) and compare the first line with the line posted some lines down in the obove tread. The "<plugin...." line contains the miracle near to the end.

the explanation of each option used in this source code is explained here: http://www.krpano.com/docu/xml/

so exactly the options of the line ".... onloaded="action(hidemapspot)" onclick="action(openmap);"/>"
... just search the krpano xml help for "onload" and "onclick" etc...

OR: be a little bit patient - beta 8 should not be long to wait for it... and hopefully this "feature" gets revisted ;-)

Georg
