Can this type of Panning be done in Autotour?

by johng » Tue Feb 16, 2010 2:19 pm

http://www.realbigtours.com/tours/tour.cfm?tourID=1630&sceneNum=1&tourWindowHeight=500

I know it wasn't built in Autotour - But some people like this type of Panning better then the "Spinning" Type of Autotour...

spinning - you mean autorotation?

yes/no:
yes: autorotation enabled inside APT 1.1.0.b7
no (not within APT): to achieve the horizonal move only you need a krpano full domain license so you can creat your pano with APT with seperated xml files you than can edit to achieve your goal.

you than have a block like the following you can adopt for speed and rotation direction:

Code: Select all
<autorotate enabled="true"
            waittime="1.0"
            accel="1.5"
            speed="10"
            horizon="20"
            tofov="150"
            />

options see: http://www.krpano.com/docu/xml/#autorotate

Ok - Thanks for this...

How do you edit the XML? Which file do you edit and what program do you use to edit it with?
Just in the learning stages - Thanks So much...:/

basically each text editor can be used. xml files are plain text files.
to make life easier, syntax highligning is a welcome feature of the text editor.
http://www.aptana.org/ ... aptana studio is such one ... and also free...
ultraedit does have syntax highlightning (commercial)
crimson editor is also free... http://www.crimsoneditor.com/

actually on final xmls in my example I did not change a single letter...
... its the original output of APT....

pano-01.xml:
Code: Select all
<krpano version="1.0.8" logkey="false">
    <include url="pano-010.xml"/>
    <plugin name="data" keep="true"/>
    <textstyle name="DEFAULT" alpha="1" bold="false" font="Arial" fontsize="16" italic="false" textcolor="0xff000000"/>
    <plugin name="in" align="bottom" keep="true" ondown="set(movevectorz,-1);" onout="set(blendmode,normal);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" onup="set(movevectorz,0);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu0.png" x="-140" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="out" align="bottom" keep="true" ondown="set(movevectorz,+1);" onout="set(blendmode,normal);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" onup="set(movevectorz,0);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu1.png" x="-100" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="left" align="bottom" keep="true" ondown="set(movevectorx,-1);" onout="set(blendmode,normal);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" onup="set(movevectorx,0);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu2.png" x="-60" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="right" align="bottom" keep="true" ondown="set(movevectorx,+1);" onout="set(blendmode,normal);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" onup="set(movevectorx,0);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu3.png" x="-20" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="up" align="bottom" keep="true" ondown="set(movevectory,-1);" onout="set(blendmode,normal);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" onup="set(movevectory,0);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu4.png" x="20" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="down" align="bottom" keep="true" ondown="set(movevectory,+1);" onout="set(blendmode,normal);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" onup="set(movevectory,0);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu5.png" x="60" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="home" align="bottom" blendmode="normal" keep="true" onclick="lookto(get(panoview.h),get(panoview.v),get(panoview.fov),smooth(100,20,50));" onout="set(blendmode,normal);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu6.png" x="100" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="openfs" align="bottom" blendmode="screen" keep="true" onclick="set(fullscreen,true);" onout="set(blendmode,screen);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu7.png" x="140" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="closefs" align="bottom" blendmode="screen" keep="true" onclick="set(fullscreen,false);" onout="set(blendmode,screen);" onover="set(blendmode,add);" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu8.png" visible="flase" x="140" y="10" zorder="1"/>
    <plugin name="background" align="bottom" blendmode="darken" keep="true" url="pano-01data/graphics/menu/menu9.png" visible="true" x="-1" y="10"/>
    <events onenterfullscreen="set(plugin[openfs].visible,false); set(plugin[closefs].visible,true);" onexitfullscreen="set(plugin[openfs].visible,true); set(plugin[closefs].visible,false);"/>
</krpano>

pano-010.xml:
Code: Select all
<krpano version="1.0.8">
    <events onloadcomplete="playbackgroundsound(none);"/>
    <panoview h="0" v="0" fov="70"/>
    <view fisheye="0" limitview="range" hlookatmin="-180" hlookatmax="180" vlookatmin="-35" vlookatmax="35" fovmin="30" fovmax="70" fov="70" hlookat="0" vlookat="0"/>
    <preview url="pano-01data/pano-010/preview.jpg"/>
    <image type="SPHERE" hfov="360" vfov="70" voffset="0" multires="true" tilesize="499" baseindex="0">
        <level tiledimagewidth="3672" tiledimageheight="998">
            <sphere url="pano-01data/pano-010/1/%v_%u.jpg"/>
        </level>
        <level tiledimagewidth="1836" tiledimageheight="499">
            <sphere url="pano-01data/pano-010/0/%v_%u.jpg"/>
        </level>
    </image>
    <hotspot name="spot0" onclick="openurl(http://ftp.autopano.net/releases/wiki/autopano-2-manual-en.pdf);" url="pano-01data/graphics/spots/spot0.swf" ath="396.348" atv="13.25"/>
</krpano>

in my example I did modify the menu template of APT (I did not use the default menu, I added a new one).
Its a nonpublished version, based on my gk6 menu shown in the link above posted in apt resource wiki...

in case I would add a autorotation in the xml files, I would have enabled first the autorotation in APT...
than look at both xml files:

pano-01.xml: looks like:

Code: Select all
<krpano version="1.0.8" logkey="false">
    <include url="pano-010.xml"/>
    <plugin name="data" keep="true"/>
    <autorotate enabled="true"/>
....

and pano-010.xml changed to:
Code: Select all
<krpano version="1.0.8">
    <events onloadcomplete="playbackgroundsound(none);"/>
    <panoview h="0" v="0" fov="70"/>
    <view fisheye="0" limitview="range" hlookatmin="-180" hlookatmax="180" vlookatmin="-35" vlookatmax="35" fovmin="30" fovmax="70" fov="70" hlookat="0" vlookat="0"/>
    <autorotate horizon="0" tofov="70"/>
...

here you than can exchange the autorotate block with options found at kroano.com docu page... as show in my link above....

Georg
