APT 1.1.0 beta 6 bug: hotspot not editable after save & reopening

by gkaefer » Wed Dec 30, 2009 6:39 pm

Hi,

win7 Ultimate RC 64bit & APT 1.1.0 beta 6 using:

when I create with APT 1.1.0 beta 6 a project and add any sort of hotspot to one or more of the containing panos:
1. I can edit them after creating
2. can edit them as long the project is opened.

but when saving project and reopening the project:
1. the hotspot cant be edited
2. the hotspot cant be deleted anymore
without deleting the pano an readding all again...

regards,
Georg

Yes that's what I found too, may be in future we will have a lock function to ensure that we don't delete/edit/move hot spots unintentionally.

I can't reproduce this problem on my Mac. Hotspots are still editable after saving, closing and reopening project.

The hotspot lock would be an excellent feature.

yes, finally I got it. But to be able to edit them, clicking on the hotspots are not the solution. I've to klick the Add hotspot button first and than I can klick on existing hotspots of this sort of hotspots only I first klicked on to add some new ones. So if I klick on "add lensflare" I can after that also edit the existing lensflere, but not the other hostspot types. I've to klick the according "add hostspot type" first...

I can not duplicate your problem.
I have no problem editing or moving Hotspots after saving, close, and reboot.

ok - not a bug - is it a feature?

finally look at the image.... in the APT 1.0.6 and in the APT 1.1.0 beta 6 behaviour is the same (Windows 7 RC 64 bit)

after openening an existing tour project in APT 1.1.0 beta 6 I klick on one pano, which get displayed than in the Hotspot editor (and also 3D editor).
but per default the "move"option is active and in consequence all set hotspots are white and at this state you cant delte one hotspot by using right mouseklick delete option. You first have to klick on "add polygon", "add rectangle", "add point" or "add lense flare" to set existing hotspots active (getting yellow). And only now I can delete the selected hotspot by right mouseklick...

So first I thougt its a bug...
... but its only a feature (which one I have no idea)...

Liebe Gruesse,
Georg
