I recently bought an adapter to mount Zeiss lenses from my Hasselblad on my nikon D700. I bought it because I thought it was a pity to own all those wonderful lenses and hardly use them since I mostly shoot digital now. I did a test today and it looks promising. I used the Zeiss Sonnar 150mm F4.0 with a 40mm extension tube to take a panorama of a bouquet of flowers. The panorama is made out of 20 single shots and the original rendered picture came out 10809x9550 pixels. It's quite difficult to get the focus right with the Sonnar plus the extension tube, but I think for the first try the result is quite acceptable. If the weather is good enough tomorrow, I'll try to do some panorama shots outside.

it's a Sonnar CF lens. The next time I do a pano with this setup I'll take a picture for you. For more information on the adapter paelse follow this link: http://www.enjoyyourcamera.com/Objektive-Zubehoer/Objektivadapter/Nikon-Adapter/PRO-Hasselblad-Objektiv-Nikon-F-Adapter::188.html . This afternoon I did a new planar panorama of the same bouquet. This time the rendered image is composed out of 32 individual photographs. This time I used the live view function of the D700 and focusing has improved a little. The difficulty, however is to get the NPP correctly if you use an extension tube. But i shoot such macro panoramas only in rare cases. The picture posted is the result of my 2nd try.

I just tried to further optimize the panorama. Playing around with the APG settings I chose the Gigapixel option and the RMS improved from 8.5 to 3.5 without editing CP's. I changed the projection from planar to mercator and got this result. Some smaller ghosting in the lower left of the pano are due to a minor movement in the individual picture taken.
