Good Camera Lens optics book?

In the panorama field, hardware is also part of the success. You can discuss here about it: camera, computer, pano head, anything

Good Camera Lens optics book?

by Castillonis » Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:50 pm

Does anyone have suggestions for a good camera lens optics book?

I was reading the Canon EF Lens Work III book chapter on "Optical terminology" looking for more information about "Principal points" and the optical axis for telephoto lenses. I have looked at some optics books at my local technical book store and I have looked on Amazon. I found this book. It was published in 2002. It probably does not have a chapter on DO (diffraction optics) lenses.

Ray, Sidney, Applied Photographic Optics, Third Edition (Paperback), $200 ( on sale for $160 )
