MK PanoMachine & xml file

In the panorama field, hardware is also part of the success. You can discuss here about it: camera, computer, pano head, anything

MK PanoMachine & xml file

by Tortuga » Sat Apr 04, 2015 5:43 am

Happy Easter!

We have designed a new control software for our MK PanoMachine Roundabout-NP and equipped with outstanding programs:

MK PanoMachine.jpg
MK PanoMachine Roundabout-NP

- MATRIX to create gigapixel panoramas with focal lengths up to 400mm
- SPHERE for the creation of spheres with fisheye and wide-angle lenses
- BOKEHRAMA, a different kind of panorama with little depth of field
- TIMELAPSE to create time-lapse movies
- PANORAMA for single-row panoramas and object movies via our optional turntable kit

The MK PanoMachine calculates - after the settings of camera type, focal length, overlap and the desired field of view - the required rows and number of images per row and shoots the panorama fully automatically.

And if you want to shoot a sphere the MK PanoMachine optimizes the required number of images per row, so that reduces the number of shots from the middle to the zenit / nadir.

And if you have problems to stitch the blue sky or a white wall, we help you with our optional xml file generator* - the resulting file is loaded into the stiching software, such as AutoPano Giga. The xml file increases speed and quality of stitching and solves your problem.

* A xml file contains the exact position of every single shot and the sequence of shots.

Our MK PanoMachine hardware offers unique opportunities:

Both drives are equipped with a Concept One quick coupling with both sides clamp movement for exact centering of the mounted L-bracket and upper camera rail, made by Cullmann Germany. This allows the adaptation of other Arca Swiss compatible systems to the MK drives like Novoflex, Berlebach, RRS and Nodal Ninja Ultimate M Series.

Our new stable L-bracket plus upper camera rail (with Manfrotto MA 323 quick release or alternatively Roundabout-AS quick release) of black coated aluminium allows the use of heavy cameras and long lenses, produced by Roundabout-NP in Germany.

Have fun

Marc

Hi Marc.. Since you often showcase your Hardware on this forum.. Is there any reason why you do not showcase the Kolor software on your website..

This week I have been testing out Pano2VR.. I found it has some very tricky features I was unable to work out. ObjectVR is also tricky but I worked that out.. I rather like to use it now I know how to use it.. I take it your Object hardware suits this software..

I have never heard of BOKEHRAMA before.. What is it...???

Hi Destiny:

We recommend our customers the software from Kolor, but are not a German reseller.

We have made good experiences with the Garden Gnome Software from Vienna / Austria.
I was in Vienna for a meeting - Thomas Rauscher is a nice man, makes a very good job.
If you have any problems, feel free to ask Thomas.

Have a nice sunny day

I don't think I have ever chatted with Thomas before. I have only ever chatted with Martin from Garden Gnome. He has always be very helpful when I had issue with Object2VR, so then I bought it since it has html5... Most of us here recommend Object2VR to those who are wanting 360 object software.. Its the cheapest and easiest software for multi row objects.

I was just curios why you did no have links to even APG since Garden Gnome does not have stitching software.... The new APG V4 is amazing..

Thank you for the link to explain BOKEHRAMA. I wonder how the stitching would go..

Sunny day.. ha.. Raining here.. and getting chilly.. Rained all summer.. Soon be autumn ... supposed to have been a long hot summer.. As long as its not a long cold winder.. hate the cold..

Good luck with all your new gear Marc.. At least your webs site is looking awesome these days. Long gone have those crazy coloured tripods.. ;)

Hi Destiny:

It´s great that you like our new website.
We have now finally also a shop: http://mkpanorama-shop.de/

Yes, the colorful tripods are away - would be good publicity at photokina 4 years ago.

Best regards from Hamburg / Germany

Marc

Well done.. long time coming.. I rather like the HDR photo.. Seems to be the time for new websites.. Kolor have made a new one too.. I guess that might turn out ok in the end.. I too am making a new one in HTML5, JQuery and JS so it opens on Tablets and Smart Phones.. Finally giving the Flash Website the flick.. Heaps still to do but my base setup is just about there.. Now I have to add content and text.. All my Tours need to be remade in HTML5..

I also have a shop but not like yours.. Mine is for button skins to add to the Zoomify software.. They have made a new version so my button skins should help to make it look better..

Have a great Easter..

I have always found your web site to be very confusing.

There is no clear differentiation between many of the products.

No details for some products - such as the XML file generator.

And you seem to be adding more and more third party products too.

We have now finally also a shop: http://mkpanorama-shop.de/

The web shop appears only to be available in German. Is that correct?

Hi!

We have been trying to structure our website clearly with the offered products.

The shop language is German so far.

Yes, we cooperating successfully with many small manufacturers.
Combine the products or modify its products, develop new products together.
It is a well-functioning network.

This is important in relation to larger companies.
The panoramic market just lives of small, interesting tinkerers and inventors.

Have a nice day

The PanoHero for the GoPro Hero is such a product, it's makes fun and joy to send Martin's product anywhere around the globe, the feedback is great.

Or to combine the Roundabout-NP and Moonslide L-bracket with our engines.

It is the passion panoramic photography that unites us small manufacturers.

Best regards,

Marc
