Mast recommendation for horizontal

In the panorama field, hardware is also part of the success. You can discuss here about it: camera, computer, pano head, anything

Mast recommendation for horizontal

by marianne » Sun Sep 25, 2011 2:40 am

Hi there,

I am on the look out for an aerial set up and can't seem to find a suitable mast to go vertical and horizontal ( like dangling off a cliff/building). Can anyone recommend either a website that reviews masts or sells masts?

Is there anywhere I can find info/post about other basic needs for the aerial setup. Mast ,tripod, and motorised head and remote control for the camera is obvious. What else am I missing?

Hi George,

Thank you for those links. Your experience is appreciated.

I was looking at you list of equipment and am considering getting the super professional tripod mk11 that you have. After all, Most of the time I only need a little bit of extra height . My current manfrotto tripod barely goes over about 1.7m. I was just looking at some pictures of it online and noticed that the top and legs or the tripod look bulky. My question is: does the top of the tripod have a bigger footprint than a Nodal Ninja type head?
