Web VR Hotspots & Navigation

by mjaszo » Thu Aug 06, 2015 1:41 pm

I have set of panos, 1st one is loaded. I can see small cross in the middle. How do I change the panos?
edit:
So th eoptions are gazing for smartphones and PgUp/Down with the keyboard? No "next/prev pano" etc.?

The only way to navigate is using navigational hotspots.

Everything else is removed in VR Mode.

OK. Thanks for the help!
And for all updates. VR looks really cool. My #1 favourite is finally changing the panos order in the project in the proper way :)

Another thing: I'd like to add bunch of hotspots in nadir for VR only. I don't want it to be visible on PC and tablets, mobiles (for cardboard etc.) only. How do I do that in PTP (if possible) or in which file do I change the code and how?

VR only hotspot doesn't exist. Must be added manually into xml.

OK. Which function triggers hiding of VT elements (and could be used for showing additional hotsposts in nadir)?
Should I add hotspots the same way vrcursor is added: <hotspot name="vr_cursor" keep="true" vr="true"
or as typical hotspot with additional desktop/mobile=false; vr=true or similar?

How about (this is just an idea),
-you duplicate the kpt and cache (new name, whatever)
-open it
-remove all your current hotspots and create your nadir nav hotspots
-build in the same folder with same name as your original tour. You'll now have _VR.xml versions that have your nadir hotspots.
-backup all the _VR.xml files in a new folder or your desktop or wherever you want
- open the original project back up
-build it again to get the original hotspots and everything back
-replace all the _VR.xml files by the duplicate projects ones.

You'd have to do this once you've finished creating the project to avoiding the risk of building over the files, but I think this could work.

Just make sure you don't change any names or anything, other than the hotspots the tours have to be identical.

Sounds OK when what's in VR mode is in VR files. Is it like that? When I add hotspots in PTP they are considered for PC-VT and VR-VT separately? I'll give it a try. :)

EDIT: Looks like it's working! I've prepared 2 tours with "PC" and "VR" navigations and overwritten _vr files.
Thanks a lot, Cliquetsy! :D

Yes the vr.xml files are the ones that are used when you're in VR mode.

Glad it worked :)
