Best MacBook Pro Specs

by Princeofegypt » Wed Feb 10, 2016 6:12 pm

I am going to start creating 360 videos, but I need the specs for a MacBook Pro. I know I need at least 8 Gigs of Ram and an i7 quadcore, but does anyone know if I can order a MacBook Pro with an Nvidia graphics card built in. Any recommendations on a computer that will offer real time rendering for about $2000 American dollars would be appreciated. I prefer Mac, but would be open to PC if that brings the price down a bit.

Also, is Mac's graphics card comparable to the Nvidia? Thanks for any help! :)

hi Princeofegypt,

I use Macbook Pro 15 Retina
2,3 GHz Intel Core i7
16 Go 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 Mo

And is working fine with all Kolor software!

Thanks for the reply mercredi!

How many gigs does your graphics card have and does the fan start every time you render your videos. I find that the fan is always going whenever I render a 1 minute video. I am also using a Radeon card.

I returned my MacBook Pro. I got an MSI Dominator Pro with 32 Gigs of Ram and an 8 gig graphics card.

It renders faster with no heating an no fans blazing. AND IT COST THE SAME THING!

I'm about due for a new MacBook Pro. My current one is 10 years old and still runs well, but it can't run an OS beyond El Capitan and is starting to show it's age: bad battery, DVD drive problems, track pad issues. It's also a LOT heavier than the new models so it's a pain to carry it around. write my essay for me.
