When is cineform .mxf coming? It's not safe to use .mov on windows anymore.

Hi, I never came across any CineForm/mxf file, could you maybe send me a short sample?
Also, I guess you're assumption about "unsafe .mov on windows" is based on the quicktime software support being discontinued? Quicktime is the one that's unsafe in this story, not the .mov file format.

Actually yes, the next release will get linux support, but without an installer or anything so for experienced users only.

2.2.X compatibility is not correct. Plugin works up to 2.2.4. Version 2.2.5.1 is not supported.

Re: CineForm plugin for VLC

I am experiencing a problem installing the CineForm plugin for VLC. I have chosen the correct installer for my VLC installation, but it won't recognize the plugin inside VLC. I have looked through my installation directory and found the files for the CineForm plugin. I'm guessing that it should automatically work after installation of the plugin, but on my side it won't. Any fixes?

@bkamphues Which version of VLC are you using?
Seemingly the plugin does not work beyond v2.2.4, and we unfortunately do not have an update planned for anytime soon.

When I preview CineForm files in VLC using this plugin, the videos are ever so slightly pixelated. Noticeable on edges. When I view them in QuickTime 7 they're fine. Any ideas?

Are there any plans to port the plugin for newer versions of VLC? E.g. v 3.0 Vetinari?

Cheers,

Eric
