hello,

. . . is a 4K video better than a fullHD (1080) video clip in livepano?

can I improve the quality using 4 K or isn´t PTP able to use the high(er) resolution?

best regards
erwino

The problem here is the 4K management on low end devices.
A 4K 360 video has a resolution between 360p and 720p into the field of view depending of the fov.
A livepano of 1080p only represent a small part of the whole sphere, so it's more detailed.

. . . ok, thnx for the info.

I´m interested in better quality of livepano clips in my virtual tours (not 360-videos)
the resolution of my photos are much higher than the resolution in the integrated 1080p-video.
you see it, if you zoom in.

in other words: is PTP able to work with 4K in livepano? or should I still use 1080p-clips?

By default Livepano never render a 4K video. Video size is calculated for the best integration. I know it can be an issue.
If you doesn't use any mask during the livepano process you can simply replace the generated file by your own.

. . . hope, this feature (4k-rendering) will come in near future , may be as an option to choose. it would improve livepano a lot.
