Livepano in Safari weird result

by cgm4967 » Sun Sep 20, 2015 3:32 pm

I have created a Livepano that works in all browsers that I tested except Safari 8.0.8 with iOS 10.10.5

Has anyone had similar issues?

Livepano intergation depends of the browser. Some are better than others to display, place and manage transparency of the video into the sphere.
Result is better under Chrome or Firefox or IE for instance ?

So what you are saying is it does not work for Safari? This would make it hard to use this as a tool for business then.

It also works no ? Just the transparency issue on borders or other issues ?

My results have varied from browser to browser and device to device.

The Livepano works fully integrated when exploring the tour on my laptop, or desktop computers. On the desktop (Mac Pro, El Capitan) in worked on both Chrome and Safari. Safari did have a strange dotted line though, showing where the video was under the mask. The laptop worked perfect for both. (MacBook Pro with Yosemite)

It also worked perfectly on my iPad (iOS 9.0.2) in Safari and Chrome. This I don't get.

On my iPhone, it went to the video viewer, like watching a video from a text message. This is with both Chrome and Safari. Then I closed the video and it went right back into the tour seamlessly.

I then downloaded Puffin's free mobile browser and it worked. The browser wasn't very good, although it was free. But also it isn't very likely that people are going to be using it.

Ultimately I have no idea. Could be a flash issue?

ps Here is the tour. threefoldtours.com/esoterictour.html

iPhone has an Apple limitation which avoid the display of a video into the sphere. So the Livepano is loaded as a standard video and rotated.
Probably Puffin which is an app has removed the Apple limitation into it's web viewer. This can be done only into an application, not into Safari. And Chrome follow the Apple specification in this case.
